Volunteer Trip – June 2018

///Volunteer Trip – June 2018
volunteer experience

We offer volunteer trips for those who want to experience more than just traveling. We believe that volunteering toghether with adventure activities is one of the best way to travel.

It is very important for us to be involved in the social events and development of our community. Thus we’ve welcome again a group of our French friends who came again to support our people. Sandra from Lovely Nepal made a tranandous work by rising money. Thanks to her we were able to provie  school suppliers, uniforms, fans and other goods to the poorest in our community.

Lets see the latest trip plan:

29th May we picked up our French group from the airport and drop them to the hotel in Thamel. During the welcoming dinner we discussed the further action plan for our project.

30th May we organised a sightseeing of Kathmandu city as well as went shopping in order to buy supporting accesories for the schools.

31th May first of all we packed everything we bought and drove to our camp. In the evening we enjoyed the dinner and prepared for the next day volunteering.

In the early morning of 1st June we started trekking to the small school with only 3 class rooms. Later we continued to the anther school where again we received a warm welcome.

On 2nd June kids and teachers organized a program for us showing Nepalese culture and dance. In the afternoon, after the intensive 2 days and after all supplies were distributed to each school we trekked back to the camp.

On 3rd June we relaxed at the camp! We had a time for hikking, swimming and palying valeyball.

Between 4th and 6th June we started our favorite whitewater rafting, kayaking and camping on Budi Gandaki river. The river comes from the base of Mt. Manaslu, the 8th highest peak in the world. The every night campfire is the basic need for one who plans to stay and enjoy the trip.

On 7th June we drove to Pokhara. After the hotel check-in we enjoyed the evening walk around the lake side.

Between 8th and 11th June we decided to change the plan from original Poon Hill trekking to Mardi Himal.

On 12th June we drove back to Kathmandu as our trip was almost finished. During the last night we enjoyed the farewell dinner.

And finally 13th June it was a time to go home.
