The Himalayas are calling 2022 – a trip to Nepal.

After nearly two years of stagnation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to introduce you to our kayaking, rafting and package trip plans for the current year. We hope you will find something exciting and convince you to make your trip to Nepal this year. We want to present some of our trips between February and May and then September-November.  Some of the below trips are suitable for children and families.

Let us look at our trips to Nepal:

Budhi Gandaki – 3 days rafting or kayaking experience

When: from 28 February until 1 March (few places left only),

Where: River’s Edge Resort and Budhi Gandaki river

Highlights: Like every year, we promote our favourite river for your rafting trip. We leave for the expedition from our camp (or on request from Kathmandu). We will be passing through the beautiful traditional Nepalese villages during that day. The starting point is in Sothi Khola, which is very close to the Tibetan border and where you can see the view of Mt. Manasalu (the 8th highest peak in the world). During the second day, you enjoy full-day rafting with grand rapids. Last day we will enjoy half-day rafting with the finishing point at our camp. This rafting trip is unique and not touristic, and the water will make you tired and excited at the same time. Constant rapids will bust your adrenaline rush. Campfire and riverside camping will make you happy and fulfilled.

Trishuli river – 1-day rafting/ kayaking trip

When: daily

Where: River’s Edge Resort, Trishuli river

Highlights: If you don’t have lots of time but would like to try rafting in Nepal, then the Trisuli rafting or kayaking day trip is one of the best choices. The starting point is 72 km (approx. 3-4 hours) from Kathmandu. This trip is an excellent break from the city noise or a stopover between Kathmandu and Pokhara (Nepal’s most popular tourist destinations). It offers relaxed rafting with some big rapids. We will provide you with a picnic-style lunch on a white sandy beach. After the day of adventure, you might choose to stay overnight at our riverside camp, extend your trip with some kayaking or canyoning or travel on to Kathmandu, Pokhara or Chitwan. It is open all year round, even during the monsoon!

Multi-river kayaking expedition – 2 weeks

When: March/April, October/September or on request

Where: Trishuli, Upper and Lower Seti, Budhi Gandaki rivers,

Highlights: Join us for the two weeks of multi-river kayaking expedition mixed with a cultural experience. We will start our trip from Kathmandu sightseeing. Then as a warm-up, we will paddle for two days on the Trishuli river, following 1-day kayaking on Lower Seti. After a few days on the river, you will relax in Chitwan National Park for two days while doing jungle, safari, canoeing, and enjoying the cultural performance. The next stop will depart for three days of rafting/ kayaking on the Budhi Gandaki river. The starting point is in Soti Khola, which is very close to the  Tibetan border, and you will see the view of Mt. Manasalu (the 8th highest peak in the world). After two days of a nice splash, we will end the rafting/kayaking at our River’s Edge resort and straight away departure to Pokhara. The last river we will paddle will be Upper Seti. At last, you will enjoy one day of sightseeing in Pokhara, where you can also have extra activities like paragliding. On day 13, we will depart to Kathmandu, so you have time for your last shopping and the next day departure to your onward destination.
